Julianne Strom Brill is an abstract artist living and working outside of Boston. She graduated from Skidmore College in with a degree in Studio Art and Art History, and later earned her Masters in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. For several years, she taught art to elementary-aged students while maintaining a busy studio practice in her spare time. In 2015, she decided to take the leap into full time professional painting. ‘Moss and Blue’ is the culmination of many years of learning, teaching, and relearning how to paint.
Julianne’s work is heavily influenced by the colors, textures, and rhythms of the natural world. Her work is created and released in ‘series,’ or a group of paintings that all share the same inspirational starting point. Some of her most recent collections have been inspired by her travels, unknown landscapes, and the journey into new motherhood.
When she isn’t painting, you can find Julianne working on her new (old) farmhouse, antiquing around New England, playing tug-of-war with her studio pup Sadie, or chasing around her little boy, Finn.
Information about upcoming sales and releases can be found on her Instagram account; be sure to follow along there if you don’t already.
